Please note: If you would like to seek sponsorship for a conference not listed, please contact VBCF. The Sponsorship Committee will review the event and consider it for financial sponsorship. Applicant must submit material about the conference (such as brochure, written objectives, or website with information) for it to be considered.

This conference brings together advocates from many communities, as well as those with information on studies in CAM to strategize, network, and more, that would greatly benefit those with cancer. The conference focuses on a multi-disciplinary approach, and addresses issues such as nutrition, dietary supplements, mind-body-spirit relaxation techniques, exercise, hands-on therapies and more.

Sisters Network Inc. is the only national African American breast cancer survivorship organization in the United States. The Annual Conference serves as an extension of the organization’s effort and commitment to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact of breast cancer in African American communities.

Two-day training program for advocates interested in an introductory education in the science of breast cancer. Course covers basic biology, research design, and advocacy elements. This workshop will teach students how to be critical thinkers and how to better understand the breast cancer science in the media every day. Precursor to NBCC’s Project LEAD Institute.

The goal of the ASCO Meeting is to foster communication among oncology-related subspecialties and the exchange of a wide range of ideas related to cancer. The meeting is designed to serve the respective interests of ASCO’s multidisciplinary membership with education focused on medical, surgical and radiation oncology.

Science course for breast cancer advocates that equips individuals to participate as informed, effective consumers in the process of making medical and scientific decisions about breast cancer research. This offering of Project LEAD focuses on the design, phases, and key issues of the clinical trials process.
San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), December 4-8, 2012 San Antonio, TX, www.sabcs.org. Conference is an international scientific symposium for interaction and exchange among basic scientists and clinicians in breast cancer. VBCF encourages applicants to FIRST apply directly to Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation for sponsorship before applying to VBCF.
