Countdown to State Advocacy Day 2017

Make Your Voice Heard in the Fight Against Breast Cancer!

No previous advocacy experience needed. Your personal perspective and passion about ending breast cancer are all you need to help make a difference. VBCF will provide orientation and training and transport advocates by bus to the General Assembly.

Key legislative issues this year include preservation of the State’s “Every Women’s Life” program, protection of and improvements to Medicaid, access to palliative care and caregiver support, and monitoring access to medications. [More details to come.]

Pre-Advocacy Day Activities

  • Orientation and Training: VBCF will offer two conference calls to help participants make an impact at the General Assembly.

Day of Activities

  • Legislator Reception: VBCF will host a meet and greet for state legislators to speak with attendees.
  • Government in Action: Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with their elected officials and/or attend health committee sessions.
