CancerLINC: Estate Planning 101 @ Fairfield Library
Jan 23 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

From CancerLINC: “Estate planning can make life easier for you and your loved ones, and it isn’t just for the rich and famous. If you own a home or other assets, you should have the final say in who inherits the items you cherish.

Likewise, in the event you become incapacitated, you should have the final say over the medical care you receive. Estate planning is a simple way to make your wishes known.

Join us for this FREE workshop with attorney Thomas N. Jamerson of Beale, Davidson, Etherington and Morris, P.C. to learn how to take control of your wishes.

THIS EVENT IS FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.”

Feb 5 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

From VCU Massey Cancer Center: “Cardiovascular (CV) disease is an increasing concern for men and women treated for cancer.  Today, CV events are the primary cause of death for women with breast cancer, recently overtaking death caused directly by the initial cancer.  In fact, one third of women treated for breast cancer develop profound fatigue that does not resolve, and for many, making it impossible to return to work. Cardio-oncology is an emerging field that helps patients protect their heart functions during and after cancer treatment. Join Dr. Gregory Hundley, VCU Health Pauley Heart Center director, to learn more about cardio-oncology and advances being made.”
