VBCF not only advocates at the state and federal level but also educates at the local level. Staff and volunteers travel all around the state to educate people about breast cancer in churches, parent groups, community, and state colleges, and anywhere there are people who want to learn about breast cancer. VBCF can give educational presentations and survivor stories ranging from 10 minutes to an hour and a half and/or staff a resource table at a health fair or other community event.
VBCF also publicizes educational events on our Event Calendar. This calendar features VBCF events that are open to the public, as well as educational events hosted by other organizations that are relevant to people connected to breast cancer.
