Do you have a group that wants to learn about breast cancer?
VBCF is dedicated to speaking to people about breast cancer in their communities. Staff and volunteers travel all around the state to educate people about breast cancer in churches, parent groups, community, and state colleges, and anywhere there are people who want to learn about breast cancer. VBCF can give educational presentations and/or survivor stories ranging from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours. VBCF volunteers can also host a resource table at a health fair or other community event.
Educating Virginians about breast cancer is a large part of our mission, so we would never turn down a presentation based on the organization’s ability to pay, but donations help us to keep working towards our mission. It costs VBCF between $100-$250 to provide an hour-long presentation, depending on location, but a donation of any amount is appreciated! If your organization is holding a fundraiser for us in addition to requesting a speaker, we have no additional donation request.
