For #MindfulMonday, we’d like to spotlight local organizations that we believe will help those diagnosed with breast cancer, their family, and friends.
Here’s what Abby from Project Yoga Richmond shared with us about their program:
“Project Yoga Richmond believes that yoga has the power to transform lives and, in turn, whole communities, even online. That’s why we started our Om at Home initiative.
Access pay-what-you-can classes from PYR Ambassadors in two ways: Register for live, virtual classes via Zoom at projectyogarichmond.org/schedule. Subscribe to a growing library of on-demand classes and offerings at patreon.com/projectyogarichmond. We’re working hard to provide virtual opportunities for our community to stay connected, both outwardly with one another and inwardly with ourselves. Additionally, we want to remind our beloved community that we are here for you as a refuge.
From our inception, Project Yoga Richmond has maintained the mission to bring yoga to marginalized people who may not have access otherwise. We envision a future in which anyone, anywhere, has the ability and the opportunity to tap into the power of yoga.
In order to best serve BIPOC communities and others deeply hurting during this time, we’ll offer a free community yoga class each week led by Project Yoga Richmond Ambassadors. Stay tuned on social media and at projectyogarichmond.org/schedule for specific dates and times.”
