Saturday, October 23rd was an absolutely beautiful day in Abingdon, Virginia! We had 25 participants join us on the Virginia Creeper Trail to walk, bike, and run 13.1 miles as part of the Inaugural Pink 13.1! We had another seven participate virtually from Christiansburg, Harrisonburg, and even the beach. The Inaugural Pink 13.1 was sponsored by Bone Fire Smokehouse, First Bank & Trust, Food City, and RunAbout Sports Roanoke.
Together, we raised over $40,000 and the proceeds will support a screening and diagnostic service fund to support breast cancer testing for uninsured and underinsured in Southwest Virginia.
