December 1st is “Giving Tuesday”, the annual global day of generosity. This year it feels more important than ever to recognize this day by thanking you, our generous supporters for giving to VBCF. During a challenging year like no other, you stayed with us and committed to helping Virginians with breast cancer. The names listed above represent all the individual donors who made gifts both large and small. We are so grateful!
We also have the great fortune of having wonderful community partners who got creative and hosted virtual and socially-distanced in-person events to raise funds for our work. We cannot thank you enough.

VBCF’s work certainly looked different than in years past and we missed being out in the community. But, we had great success in offering educational and advocacy opportunities in a new way.
- Our “More Than A Pink Ribbon” October education webinar series with experts in the field and our special breast health webinar in Spanish were impactful, reaching nearly 2,000 viewers. You can watch recordings of these webinars for free here.
- We premiered an educational video on October 1 to encourage Virginians to get mammograms. This video is a great success with 23,000 views and counting. Watch the video here.
- We also hosted an effective virtual national breast cancer advocacy day using Zoom meetings to speak with members of Congress. Our advocates secured three new co-sponsors for the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act. Virginia now has 8 co-sponsors from the House of Representatives for this important bill.
This Giving Tuesday our message is simple
We are still here to help. We won’t stop until this disease is eradicated. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.
